Dallas police arrest wanted parole violator in downtown operation near Akard and Field Streets
Dallas, Texas – Dallas police officers arrested a wanted parole violator in the downtown area this week after coordinating with local partners and quickly responding to new information about the suspect’s whereabouts.
Authorities reported that on February 12, 2026, the Central Business Division (CBD) received information about a wanted individual with an extensive criminal history believed to be in downtown Dallas. Officers immediately began working with Downtown Dallas, Inc. (DDI) to help locate the suspect.
Coordinated effort leads to quick arrest
DDI later informed officers that the individual had been spotted near the intersection of Akard and Field Streets. The CBD Crime Response Team (CRT) responded to the location and quickly located the suspect. Police safely took the individual into custody without incident.
The suspect was identified as Justin Bryan, 39. He was arrested on a parole violation warrant issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division. In addition to the warrant, Bryan was charged with possession of amphetamines.
“Our officers are committed to actively locating and arresting individuals who are wanted and pose a threat to our community,” said Major John Madison.
Officials emphasized that cooperation between law enforcement and community partners played an important role in the arrest. The Central Business Division expressed appreciation for the continued partnership and support provided by Downtown Dallas, Inc., noting that collaboration helps maintain safety in the downtown district.
