City of Dallas launches survey to gather input on use of the Dallas Public Library system
Dallas, Texas – Residents in Dallas are being invited to share their experiences and ideas about the Dallas Public Library system through a new survey designed to guide future services and programs. City officials say the feedback opportunity is part of a collaborative effort to better understand how residents use library resources and how those services can be improved.
The online survey is available now and will remain open through February 26, 2026. The initiative is being conducted in partnership with the City of Dallas and the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
Survey aims to guide future library services
Officials encourage all Dallas residents to complete the survey and to share it within their networks and communities. Input gathered from participants will help inform decisions about the delivery of library services, ensuring they reflect community needs and priorities.
To make participation accessible, the survey is available in both English and Spanish. In addition to the online version, paper copies are available at Dallas Public Library locations for residents who prefer to complete the survey in person.
City leaders emphasize that community input plays a vital role in shaping library programs, resources, and services. By gathering insights from residents across Dallas, officials hope to better understand usage patterns, identify service gaps, and explore opportunities to expand offerings.
The survey’s closing date of February 26 gives residents a limited window to provide feedback that could influence future improvements. Officials encourage widespread participation to ensure diverse perspectives are represented.
Library leaders say the feedback effort reflects a commitment to strengthening public access to information, education, and community resources. The Dallas Public Library system serves as a hub for learning, digital access, cultural programming, and community connection — and resident input will help guide how those services evolve in the years ahead.
