Dallas, Texas – Dallas police reported that a pedestrian fatality took place Friday night on Buckner Boulevard, highlighting the dangers of crossing busy streets. The incident, which occurred just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Buckner Boulevard and John West Road, involved a woman attempting to navigate the thoroughfare outside of a designated crosswalk area.
The preliminary investigation by Dallas police revealed that the woman ventured off the curb near a divided median and was tragically struck by an SUV. The impact was so severe that she was propelled into the air, only to be struck again by another SUV passing through the area. Despite the immediate response of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a commendable act of responsibility, both drivers involved in the accident remained at the scene to cooperate with law enforcement officials.
