City of Dallas set to bring holiday joy to young children with annual toy drive

Dallas, Texas – The Office of Community Care is bringing holiday cheer to the West Dallas community with its annual holiday festival set for December 2, 2023. This much-awaited event, filled with festive activities and the spirit of giving, promises to be a delightful experience for families in the area.

Festivities and Santa Helper’s Toy Distribution Kickoff

The holiday festival, taking place at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center, offers an array of enjoyable activities for families. Highlights include photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, an assortment of snacks, engaging crafts, and fun games. This event isn’t just about festive fun; it also marks the commencement of registration for the Santa Helper’s Toy Distribution, a significant initiative aimed at bringing smiles to children in the West Dallas community during the holiday season.

Registration for Toy Distribution

Families with children up to age 12, residing in the 75208, 75211, and 75212 zip codes, who need assistance with gifts this holiday season, are invited to register for this toy drive. The registration process for receiving presents for their children begins on December 2 and will continue until Saturday, December 9.

To register, families need to visit the West Dallas Multipurpose Center in person. It’s essential to bring proof of address, household income, and the number of children in the household. The registration timings are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday, December 4 to Friday, December 8, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 9. The center is conveniently located at 2828 Fish Trap Rd., Dallas, TX 75212.

Last year, the Santa Helper’s Toy Drive successfully served over 500 children in the West Dallas community, highlighting the significant impact and success of this annual event.
