Voodoo Doughnut opens first store in Dallas

Dallas, Texas – The city of Dallas has just become a bit sweeter with the opening of the famous Voodoo Doughnut on Greenville Avenue in East Dallas. This donut shop, known for its unique blend of sweet and savory flavors, has officially opened its doors, much to the delight of local residents and doughnut enthusiasts.

Voodoo Doughnut, which originated in Portland, Oregon in 2003, quickly gained notoriety and expanded to various locations across eight states. Its popularity is evidenced by the long line of people who eagerly waited to experience their first taste of these unique fried treats in Dallas.

Mark Magiera, a dedicated fan of Voodoo Doughnut, arrived at the new location an hour before its opening at 5 a.m., just to be the first in line. “This is huge for me, I don’t have to go back and forth to Portland to get my Voodoo,” he exclaimed, highlighting the shop’s cult following.

The excitement was palpable among both long-time fans and newcomers alike. Audrey Ero, new to the Voodoo Doughnut experience, shared her anticipation: “I am brand new to the experience, so this will be my first time, but I’m excited about it.”

The opening of the Greenville Avenue store marks a significant milestone as it is the 21st Voodoo Doughnuts location in the country and the eighth in Texas. This expansion reflects the growing popularity of the brand and its distinctive approach to doughnuts.

The new Dallas location will cater to the sweet cravings of its patrons from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, offering ample opportunity for Dallas residents and visitors to indulge in their famed doughnut creations.
